    Key Highlights

    • American forces conducted operations against 50 military positions on Iran’s Kharg Island oil export terminal
    • Crude oil markets surged, with WTI climbing more than 3% beyond $116 per barrel
    • Presidential ultimatum established 8 p.m. ET cutoff for diplomatic resolution before expanded military operations
    • Tehran has rejected all ceasefire overtures and issued warnings regarding Gulf regional infrastructure
    • Reports indicate nighttime attacks on Saudi Arabia’s Jubail petrochemical facility

American military forces conducted operations against 50 military installations located on Kharg Island in Iranian territory during the early hours of Tuesday. This strategic location serves as Tehran’s primary crude oil export gateway and represents a critical revenue stream for the Iranian government.

The military operations focused on defense installations comparable to those engaged during last month’s operations. Energy export infrastructure located on the island remained untouched during this round of strikes.

The President established an 8 p.m. Eastern Time Tuesday cutoff for Tehran to accept diplomatic terms. He cautioned that rejection would trigger comprehensive military operations throughout Iranian territory.

“An entire civilization faces extinction tonight, lost forever to history. While I hope to prevent this outcome, it appears increasingly inevitable,” the President declared via Truth Social on Tuesday morning.

The President maintained that diplomatic channels remained available. He suggested that emerging Iranian leadership possessing “alternative, more pragmatic, and less extremist perspectives” could finalize an agreement before the established deadline.

During Monday’s media briefing, the President stated that absent diplomatic resolution, Iran would be left with “no bridges, no power plants — stone ages.”

Crude Markets Surge Amid Regional Instability

Oil markets responded immediately to developing events. Brent crude climbed above $110 per barrel, while West Texas Intermediate surged over 3% to trade beyond $116 per barrel.

The market volatility reflected trader reactions to the Kharg Island operations and presidential statements regarding the evening deadline.

Kharg Island processes a substantial portion of Iranian crude exports, establishing it as a critical focal point for energy markets throughout the ongoing regional tensions.

Tehran Dismisses Peace Overtures, Issues Infrastructure Warnings

Iran has dismissed all temporary ceasefire proposals. Iranian authorities have stated they will only consider complete conflict termination accompanied by reparation guarantees.

Tehran has also indicated it will no longer restrain operations against Gulf regional infrastructure. During overnight hours, Iranian forces allegedly targeted Saudi Arabia’s Jubail petrochemical complex.

American and Israeli forces allegedly engaged bridges, transportation routes, an aviation facility, and additional infrastructure throughout Iranian territory during Monday evening and into Tuesday, according to Iranian state media.

Regarding diplomatic progress, the President stated, “I cannot discuss ceasefire details, but I can confirm we have an actively engaged counterpart on the opposite side.”

Targeting civilian infrastructure including power generation facilities and bridges constitutes violations under Geneva Conventions war crime provisions.

As of Tuesday afternoon, the 8 p.m. Eastern Time presidential deadline remained pending, with no diplomatic agreement publicly disclosed.
