The Android 12L OS has a hidden feature called ‘notification to contents’ on foldable displays. Twitter user @MishaalRahman pointed out that once the hidden function ‘notification to contents’ is enabled on Android 12L, users can drag-and-drop notifications to the left or right side of the screen to launch them in split-screen mode from any app.
In other words, you don’t need to swipe up from the middle bottom to open the recent panel to access the split-screen mode. According to some reports, the same feature was seen on Android 12.1, and now it is also included in the Android 12L DP1 (Developer Preview 1) build as well.
Google did not promote this feature very much, however, for unknown reasons. Many Android fans are eager to get the feature where an app can be opened in a floating window mode.
