Cupertino giant Apple is well-known for its next-gen technologies and R&D research almost every year. To maintain the ownership and exclusiveness of the hard-earned technology or invention by filing patents. This year Apple has filed a couple of patents and reports are coming out that Apple has filed a patent for mobile gaming controllers for iPhone and iPad devices.
Apple has already used a dedicated subscription-based online gaming service for iOS and iPadOS devices via the Apple App Store which is known as “Apple Arcade” for a couple of years. As per multiple reports online and especially by Patently Apple, the company is working on multiple types of dedicated gaming accessories for its handsets.
Talking the first patent by Apple, it indicates gaming controllers for iPhone and iPad devices that can easily be attached using magnets. Meanwhile, Apple’s Euro patent files basically show quite different types of gaming accessories for enhanced mobile gaming performance. One looks like a commonly designed gaming controller offering a D-pad, an analog stick, etc.
While the second controller looks like having a mini display apart from a D-pad other traditional control buttons in an initial viewpoint. However, there is no 100% clarity on the details yet where we can understand what’ll actually be the product for the end-users. But reports are suggesting that the mini display could showcase in-game details to the users’ something as the player’s HP or in-game chat, etc.
Additionally, Apple has also showcased a gaming accessory that is quite similar to the Xbox controller. It eventually connects wirelessly having 4 control buttons, 2 analog sticks, a menu button, a slider for switching games modes, call and messaging modes, etc. Well, we’ll have to wait to get more details.
