The Apple iPhone 13 is like that coolest kid on the block. Not a day goes by when people don’t talk about it. The latest news that involves the upcoming smartphone is related to its charging speed.
According to a report by MyDrivers, they learned from foreign media that the upcoming iPhone 13 might feature increased charging speeds, with a peak of 25W. The news comes from a supply chain source.
Looking at the current lineup, the iPhone 12 supports charging up to 20W, which is really slow by today’s standards. Having said that, even if Apple decides to increase the current to 25W, it won’t make much of a difference.
The report also notes that Apple has discontinued 18W charging. Also, a 25W charger might cost you a bit more compared to the current 20W charger.
Of course, this will result in increased revenue generation since Apple no longer includes a charging cable when you buy an iPhone. This means that if you want to want to make the most out of your iPhone 13, you might need to buy the more expensive 25W charger from the company.
To be honest, the charging time is really horrible because this is a flagship phone. Other smartphone manufacturers like Realme phones enable you to fully charge your phone in under 30 minutes without buying an extra charger.
