Calling all younger marchers: right here’s your likelihood to affix the large parade. The upcoming Broadway revival of The Music Man, starring Tony winners Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster, will maintain an open casting name for dancers who can sing, ages eight to 17, December 8.
Signal-in for the Telsey+Co. name will happen 10 AM–midday at Pearl Studios; these auditioning are requested to convey jazz sneakers and knee pads, a brief, ready musical theatre track and sheet music, and a headshot and résumé. These unable to attend can submit a résumé through e mail (particulars under).
As beforehand introduced, the Scott Rudin-produced staging will start September 9, 2020, at a Shubert venue to be introduced, with opening evening set for October 15. Along with Jackman as Harold Hill and Foster as Marian Paroo, the solid will embrace Tony winners Jayne Houdyshell as Mrs. Shinn, Jefferson Mays as Mayor Shinn, Shuler Hensley as Marcellus Washburn, and Marie Mullen as Mrs. Paroo.
Jerry Zaks will direct the revival, that includes choreography by Warren Carlyle.
