Dwayne Johnson will be the voice of Krypto the Super-Dog in DC League of Super-Pets

In the upcoming DC movie League of Super-Pets, Dwayne Johnson will be the voice behind Krypto the Super Dog. His production firm, Seven Bucks, has also signed up to produce the film.

Jared Stern, the writer/director of The Lego Batman Movie, will also be the director of the League of Super-Pets. The movie is all set to come to theatres on May 20, 2022. Even though the release date was already known, Dwayne joining the cast is new. The film will release along with the likes of Paramount’s Mission Impossible 7, John Wick: Chapter 4, and an unknown Disney action movie.

Warner Bros and Warner Animation Group (WAG) has assigned Sam Levine to co-direct the movie. It is the first time Superman’s best friend, his dog, will come to a movie. The rest of the cast is scheduled to be announced in the near future.

The producers of the film include Patricia Hicks, Jared Stern, Dany Garcia, and Hiram Garcia. The executive producers include John Requa (Bad Santa), Glenn Ficarra, and Nicholas Stoller (The Muppets).

It is the second time Johnson has partnered up with WarnerMedia. Currently, he is shooting the DC movie Black Adam in which he plays the main character. Seven Bucks also produce Black Adam.
