Now You Can Play Free-to-Play Multiplayer Games of Xbox One Without Xbox Live Gold Membership

After receiving backlash from gamers, Microsoft has confirmed that all Xbox One and Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S owners will be able to play free online multiplayer games with others without needing an Xbox Live Gold membership. This means that more than 50 tiles have been cleared up as they no longer need any subscription. 

Along with that, players can also use party chat and group functionality will be available for them as well which is like the icing on the cake. Some of the most notable titles that are not exempted from requiring an Xbox Live Gold membership are Destiny 2, Roblox, Fortnite, Call of Duty: Warzone, Apex Legends, and Rocket League among others. 

Some of the other notable Microsoft Xbox One games that the announcement from Microsoft has made it free-to-play albeit the non-offline components are mentioned below.

According to the events that unfolded, Microsoft decided to hike the price of the Xbox Live Gold subscription back in late January where it mentioned that the prices will be doubled. This saw a huge wave of games and Xbox fans around the globe criticizing Microsoft realizing which, Microsoft received to remove the paywall for multiplayer games completely. It started testing the change in policy last month and cut to now, the paywall is officially removed.
