Samsung is currently the largest and most popular manufacturer of foldable smartphones in the world at the time of writing this article. Samsung intends to double the production of foldable displays by the end of 2022, following the huge success of Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3. Additionally, Google is working on implementing its first-ever Pixel foldable phone that is substantially cheaper than the Samsung.
We already have a few reports and leaks regarding the upcoming Google Pixel Fold device, but we’re not sure when it will hit the market. Hopefully, Google will try to announce the foldable device in September 2022 but there is no actual timeframe available yet.
As reported by 9to5Google in their recent article, Google might release a new cheaper variant called ‘Pixel Notepad’. A report claims that Google is trying to emulate Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold devices formula and wants to implement something like Oppo’s Find N.
The Oppo Find N is basically inspired by the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 model, which has a wide screen and a narrow aspect ratio. As per rumors, Google’s Pixel Notepad may have a similar design. It is possible that the Google Pixel Notepad might be cheaper than the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 model.
