Google Pixel 5a launch details & specs leaked but India might not get it

This year is pretty disappointing if you are a fan of the Google Pixel lineup. After it was confirmed that the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro would not be coming to India, it looks like the Pixel 5a will meet the same fate.

According to the famous tipster Jon Prosser, who has previously released the timeline for the launch of Pixel devices, Google has no plans for release the Pixel 5a except in two markets- the US and Japan.

Interestingly, the Pixel 4A was launched in India last year, leading fanboys looking forward to the Pixel 5a. The Pixel 4a was launched with a price tag of Rs 29,999.

Prosser has also published a report on the Front Page Tech, indicating that Pixel 5a will be launched on August 26. It will be available online as well as in retail stores.

Some recent leaks have also given us some insight into what the Pixel 5a will bring. According to speculations, the phone will come with a 6.4-inch display and a 60Hz screen overclocked to 90Hz.

India might not get the Google Pixel 5a

Powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G, the phone will offer 6GB of RAM and a 4,650mAh battery that should be enough to last through a day.

The phone is priced somewhere around USD 450, which directly competes with the Pixel 4A. But before you give up on the Google Pixel 5a entirely, we recommend you wait for Google’s announcement regarding the same.
