Google is reportedly working on an entry-level variant of the Pixel Buds — the Pixel Buds A. These will debut as a new pair of affordable truly wireless earbuds alongside the upcoming Pixel 5a later this year. This new entry-level variant to the original Pixel Buds will be one of the most affordable offerings from Google.
As per a recent report, Pixel Buds A will act as Google’s entry-level truly wireless earbuds and will play a similar role in the company’s audio product profile as the Pixel A smartphone series. While the design of the Pixel Buds A will remain similar to that of the vanilla Pixel Buds, there’s a change in the accent. While the vanilla Pixel Buds come with black accents, the Pixel Buds A will sport an all-white design.
Pixel Buds A Expected Features
As said before, the Google Pixel Buds A will feature a similar design to the Pixel Buds, but they will come in a different color. The report claims that the Pixel Buds A will feature an all-white design and may also come in the Forest Green color option. The upcoming TWS earbuds are said to come with touch controls on both sides. Touch controls help users control media, answer calls, and access Google Assistant.
There is no information on what Google will remove from the Pixel Buds A to lower down the price. But to make the TWS earbuds really affordable, some features will definitely be removed from them. Further, the color options suggest that the upcoming truly wireless earbuds are meant to match the color scheme of the Pixel 5a. This also hints that the Google Pixel Buds A could launch alongside the Pixel 5a. Apart from this, the tech giant is also expected to launch a new Nest Camera. It will be released by the company under its Made by Google brand.
