Honor Play 5 Key Specifications Leaked, Here’s Everything We Know

If the leaked rumors on the upcoming Honor Play 5 phone are to be believed, it might make its way to the market soon. A while ago, leaked renders of the upcoming smartphone gave us a glimpse of the design of the phone. The hardware specifications of the latest Honor Play phone were leaked by the reputed leakster Digital Chat Station via a post on Weibo.

Quite a while ago, Huawei sold its sub-brand Honor to a couple of Chinese companies who were allowed in the United States market. Huawei was one of the companies that was barred from operating in the United States after it was perceived as a big threat to national security. Since Huawei no longer owns Honor, they can release new products under a new name and a new company. It is quite likely the Honor Play 5 might come with Google apps pre-installed.

Honor Play 5 Specifications

According to the prominent tipster The Digital Station, the phone has a 6.53-inch OLED screen with an FHD+ resolution. The fingerprint reader might be located under the display. Coming to the SoC, the phone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 800U and offers two variants. The phone comes in 6GB and 8GB of RAM that is paired with 128GB of internal storage.

The optics department features a triple camera set up with a 64MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 2MP macro sensor. Speculations suggest that Google Play services will come pre-installed.

The front snapper is still unheard of, and it is still unclear if the phone will ship with Android 11 out of the box or stick to Android 10. The device packs a mere 3,800mAh battery with 66W fast charging. We at ScoopSquare24 could not get news regarding the availability and release of the phone in the United States as of now.
