4. Here, you can assign any shortcut to the Escape, Search, Ctrl, Alt, and Backspace keys. It’s convenient to use the Search key as a Caps Lock key, as Windows has the same key as Caps Lock. Just click the drop-down menu next to “Search” and select “Caps Lock” from the available options.

5. That’s all. Now the Caps Lock function is assigned to the Search key and you’ll be able to turn on the caps lock by pressing the Search key directly.

Note that if you use the Search key frequently, then you can assign the Caps Lock function to another modifier key of your choice.

If you want to turn off the Caps Lock function, use the same Alt + Search key combination or press the assigned key (here Search) again. Note that you’ll receive a notification when the Caps Lock function is turned on, but turning off the function won’t pop up any such notification.
