HTC is all set for its ViveCon 2021 conference on May 11 and May 12 and it will be full of announcements. Apparently, two Vive virtual reality headsets are expected to be announced as per Protocol. I am talking about HTC Vive Pro 2 and Vive Focus 3 Business Edition and as the name suggests, both are aiming towards the enterprise sector. This is a move that HTC is touted to be doing after rolling out gaming-oriented Vive and Vive Pro headsets.
At the moment, we don’t know much about the two enterprise-oriented virtual reality headsets. The headsets could be tethered to a PC to use or it could have a wire-free standalone design similar to Oculus Quest 2 and that’s all we need to find out.
Upcoming HTC VR headsets prices leaked
According to a report, the two headsets that I aforementioned i.e. Vive Pro and Vive Focus 3 were mentioned in company documents that the folks at Protocol got their hands on. In fact, these two headsets were listed on a European e-commerce website Alzashop teasing their prices tag. According to the particular listing, the Vive Pro 2 was listed at a price tag of €842 or $1,012 while the Vive Focus 3 Business Edition VR headset was listed at €1,474 or $1,771 and it even mentioned that these headsets will be launched in May itself. The listings have since been removed from the website and although the prices could be right, let’s take it with a pinch of salt at the moment.
Just a few weeks ago, we also saw a fitness-focused Vive Air from HTC that the company could potentially launch. It has a standalone design with breathable fabric, however, it has since been christened as just a concept, and thus, we will have to wait for the HTC ViveCon 2021 conference to see how it all pans out.
In any case, we are yet to get more information about the specifications as well as images of the two upcoming headsets. HTC will eventually announce the two new headsets ( and a concept headset) at the Vivecon 2021 on May 11 so stay tuned to know more.
