iQOO is one of the sub-brands of the Chinese smartphone manufacturer Vivo, which in fact belongs to the conglomerate BBK electronics. The brand has decided to adapt its marketing strategy directly from OnePlus, which is now officially a part of Oppo.
Having said that, the company will soon release the iQOO 8 series lineup, with the release date set to August 17. All we know for now is that there will be a special BMW M Sport Special Edition. Moreover, some hardware specs such as the camera, chipset, and screen are also known, thanks to leaks surfacing on the internet.
Moreover, the device was speculated to feature 160W charging, which did not turn out to be true. Instead, the iQOO 8 will feature 150W fast charging, whereas the Pro variant will offer 50W wireless charging.
This is similar to the technology used on the Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra. The phone managed to charge from zero to 100% in just over 20 minutes. This means that the iQOO 8 will take even less time, somewhere around 15-18 minutes.
Coming to the hardware specs, the iQOO 8 lineup will be powered by a 10-bit Samsung E5 LTPO AMOLED panel and sport a 144Hz resolution with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz.
Moving on to the processor, both devices will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888+ paired with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.
