Kevin Feige Talks About Marvel Studios holding A Big Meeting About “The Rules of The Multiverse”

Ready for some Marvel Gossip!

It seems like Multiverse is the new hot theme in all the upcoming Marvel movies. Seeing that Kevin Feige and Marvel studios deemed it important to conduct a meeting just about the Rules of Multiverse.

Multiverse was first introduced by the Ancient One in Doctor Strange and has also been used as a fake-out in Spider-Man: Far From Home but it seems like we are going to see a lot of it in the future. The Loki finale gave the entry point for the Multiverse storyline to move forward, seeing that most of the original Avenger’s battalion has been disbanded, we can see a new theme taking over the Marvel Universe. While Avengers will always have a close place in our hearts, it is quite thrilling to see some new faces and plotlines.

Marvel Kevin Feige

Kevin Feige confirms the speculation of a Multiverse theme and mentions what is to come next, in brief to D23 Inside Disney Podcast,

“As you indicated before we started recording, the multiverse is coming up in a big way. There’s interconnectivity there that people have already started to see and suss out and I had a meeting this morning with the whole broad Marvel Studios team going through the multiverse and the rules of the multiverse and exactly how to really deliver on the excitement surrounding the multiverse.”

By using the example of Nick Fury in explaining the importance of Multiverse, Kevin Feige mentions the following

“Because like with so much with Marvel, that is a topic—when we first had Sam Jackson appear in a cameo at the end of Iron Man. I thought it would be a relatively small group of people that were excited by that and that we’d have to then educate a broader public about what that meant and who Nick Fury was, but almost instantly, if you remember, way back to the Summer of 2008: it ignited everyone’s imagination.”

“In the same way, the multiverse is something we geek out about and we really love all the storytelling potential it brings, but thought we had to dull out what it was and introducing the concept even briefly in Doctor Strange and then as a fakeout in Spider-Man: Far From Home.”

We can only assume that a new villain would also be introduced in the mix with a new storyline. Thanos who previously held the title of the most dangerous villain in the MCU is probably going to be beaten by the new supervillain Multiverse Kang.

SPOILERS AHEAD! Concerning the Loki Season Finale

The Loki season finale saw the death of The Time Keeper/ He Who Remains( Jonathan Majors) and unleash of multiple branches in the timeline. The Time Keeper ( a Better version of Kang) mentioned an all-out multiverse war with the Evil Kangs. That will cause some major plotlines to emerge. This includes What…If? Disney+ next upcoming show taking the role of telling the tales of various timelines. Ant-Man & The Wasp: Quantumania, will have the younger version of Kang as the villain. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness to Eternals would all be made known to Kang (might be different versions of him) as is being speculated. To know more click here.

MCU has taken a new track by bending the lines of realities and entering the world of the Multiverse. All upcoming major films and shows are going to be seen tackling some other dimensional problems.

Will it be as successful a venture as Avengers, that we are yet to see. What do you think about the new Multiverse theme let us know in the comments below!
