Lisa Kudrow Admits “Friends: Reunion” With Co-Stars Was Emotional

The Friends: Reunion will be airing on HBO Max on May 27 and there’s enough eagerness to watch it among Friends fans across the globe. Translate out Lisa Kudrow who plays the character of the beloved and witty Phoebe Buffay could contain the excitement of meeting with her former Friends co-stars as well.

Lisa added that she got emotional when she met David Schwimmer, Courteney Cox, Jennifer Aniston, Matthew Perry, and others during the filming of the one-off reunion that will air on May 27.

The actress added that she was emotional watching everything again and had mixed emotions meeting her co-stars especially Matt LeBlance who tells stories like no one as she mentioned. Kudrow added that her contribution to the reunion was that she laughed a lot. She was also surprised to see some of the well-known faces in Hollywood present at the one-off reunion. In fact, she added that all the Friends co-stars were surprised to see all those faces at the special event.

HBO Max released a teaser trailer showing all the six lead characters walking in a dimly lit condition with a piano cover of the theme song in the background. There is a tonne of guest appearances at the reunion from the likes of David Beckham, Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, Cara Delevingne, James Corden, Kit Harington to name a few. The teaser trailer says “The one where they get back together”. Apparently, this is enough to throw Friends fans into a frenzy because of its mass popularity not just in the United States but in other parts of the world including the UK and India.

The one-off airing of Friends: Reunion

The super-popular sitcom Friends also features Jennifer Aniston as Rachel Green, Courteney Cox as Monica Geller, Matthew Perry as Chandler Bing, David Schwimmer as Ross Geller, Matt LeBlanc as Joey Tribbiani among other supporting and recurring characters. And of course, there’s Lisa Kudrow as Phoebe Buffay and all these characters will be reprising their roles at the reunion.

The reunion will also have recurring casts join the airing as well which is something Kudrow mentioned during the interview with a popular entertainment website. Note that this is an NBC sitcom Friends and not to be mistaken with the 1979 released Friends comedy series by ABC.
