This article has spoilers for Masters of the Universe: Revelation Part 1
Masters of the Universe: Revelation Part 1 is out on Netflix and with its SEQUEL storyline, it has stunned its audience. Kevin Smith and Mattel Television have given us an engrossing show in the Master of the Universe: Revelation Part 1 and now it is time to see what is in store for Master of the Universe: Revelation Part 2!
Kevin Smith and Mark Hamill who plays the Skeletor in Masters of the Universe: Revelation Part 2 had a lot to say about the season 1 finale. They also teased what is coming next and from the looks of it, you would want to know about it.
The magical world of Eternia got its moments of glory finally with the release of this series. The storyline followed Prince Adam of Eternos and his alter ego He-Man, in his eternal struggle to ward off the evil forces of sorcerer Skeletor. The Prince who is the chosen champion to wield the Power Sword and protector of the secrets of Castle Grayskull puts his all in to bring magic back to Eternia and Masters of the Universe: Revelation Part 1 sees that whole journey unfold.
The story and the journey also involved other characters including Teela (Sarah Michelle Gellar), Prince Adam’s best friend, and Captain of the Royal Guard of Eternos, Man-At-Arms (Liam Cunningham), Evil-Lyn (Lena Headey), subordinate to Skeletor, King Randor (Diedrich Bader ) and many more.
The final episode of season 1, “The Forge at the Forest of Forever”, saw some sizeable developments (SPOILERS AHEAD). Skeletor possessing the Power Sword and secrets of Castle Grayskull for himself, Prince Adam’s death, Evil-Lyn, and Beast-Man joining forces with Skeletor, unwillingly.
After a grand ending of season 1, a lot of questions are left unanswered and some of them are dealt with by Mark Hamil and Kevin Smith.
Is He-Man really dead in Master of the Universe: Revelation Part 2?
Kevin Smith mentions that “they might be back” when he talks about He-Man’s return. It is fair to speculate that a series cannot go forward without its hero. While Skeletor wreaks havoc someone would have to step up to stop him or even overpower him if needed. And considering the extensive strength, Skeletor has gained, it seems like only one person would be able to rise to that challenge that is He-Man.
Kevin Smith says
Death is not always as permanent, for those tapped into realm of magic and mysticism.
What is next for Skeletor?
Skeletor has achieved the Power Sword, according to Kevin Smith “it couldn’t be in worse hands” and we agree. Kevin Smith shines a light on Skeletors new power when he mentions that he is going to wreak havoc in the coming few days. Without He-Man, there is hardly anything stopping him from completing his goals, which he will definitely try to do. But will he succeed is the bigger question.
Mark Hamil had the following to say
“What people should expect is Skeletor absolutely obsessed with obtaining his goals. Those don’t change.”
One thing is for sure you will be seeing a lot of Skeletor in the coming season. Kevin Smith calls this version of Skeletor a “Skelegod”, it would be interesting to see the name play out in action with Master of the Universe: Revelation Part 2.
What is the second part going to be about?
Kevin Smith also announces that “Part two leaves part one in the dust”. He promises us a season that will surpass its predecessor. He also points that the story will pick up right from where part one ended. There will be no five-year gaps for this one, but the story would take a new direction that involves every character we have ever met.
Master of the Universe: Revelation Part 2 as of yet doesn’t have a set date for its return. Unfortunately, you may be in for the long wait given the lengthy production cycle the animated series require. The scripts are ready the only thing lacking for your favorite series from coming back is a thumbs up.
