Windows 10 multiple updates are in the works for quite some time, and last month we learned that Microsoft is already preparing PCs for the Windows 10 21H1 update. But now, a new leak has reportedly appeared online that apparently shows a new look for Windows 10. Said to be shared accidentally, the leak revealed that certain apps in Windows 10 would be coming with rounded corners. Currently, the apps have right-angled corners.
According to a report from Windows Latest, a Microsoft employee accidentally posted a screenshot of Windows 10 on Twitter showing rounded corners for certain apps. However, the screenshot was promptly deleted, but the reporter claims to have grabbed the screenshot for posterity. Here’s what the alleged screenshot of the Windows 10 leak reveals.
Windows 10 Design Update Leak Shows Rounded Corners
While looking at the screenshot, there appears a “future version” of the Terminal app with rounded corners. Past rumors have also suggested that the software giant could be planning to change the look of its apps by rounding the corners. The new leak seems to support that claim, and if the screenshot happens to be true, then we should see Windows 10 apps with rounded corners in a future update.
There are various rumors that Windows 10 will be getting a new look, and this could possibly coincide with the major Windows 10 21H2 Sun Valley Update. The update will come sometime later this year. But if the new look with rounded corners is indeed coming with the Windows 10 21H2 update, then for sure the newly-designed rounded corners will arrive in the second half of this year. Till then, we expect more leaks may surface ahead of the rollout.
