The movie will be coming on Digital, 4K Ultra Combo pack, and Blue-Ray starting August 31 this year. The film follows the story of Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion’s Revenge that came out in 2020. The movie is being directed by Ethan Spaulding, with the scriptwriter being Jeremy Adams, who has previously worked for Supernatural. It is based on the popular video game that Ed Boon and John Tobias made.
Also, several characters will be making a comeback. These include Ikè Amadi as Jax Briggs & One Being; Grey Griffin as Kitana, Satoshi Hasashi & Mileena; Artt Butler as Shang Tsung & Cyrax; Jordan Rodrigues as Liu Kang; Patrick Seitz as Scorpion & Hanzo Hasashi; Robin Atkin Downes as Shinnok & Reiko; Dave B. Mitchell as Raiden, Kintaro & Sektor; and Fred Tatasciore as Shao Kahn.
Joel McHale and Jennifer Carpenter are reportedly returning for roles as Johnny Cage and Sonya Blade. They travel to the Outworld to defend the Earthrealm. Scorpion is to find the ancient artifact Kamidogu before the resurrection of the One Being. Failing to do so would result in the annihilation of everything in the universe.
