Netflix games will be available to all subscribers on Android this week

Beginning this week, Netflix members (subscribers) worldwide will be able to play its exclusive mobile games on the Android platform. Netflix announced a couple months ago that it planned to venture into the mobile gaming market for Android users under the name Netflix Games. With Netflix Games, users will be able to play mobile games in addition to watching movies and shows.

Netflix has released a bunch of free games for members that include both casual games and an original TV series called Stranger Things that will be available without ads or in-app purchases. If we think back to the E3 gaming conference in 2019, Netflix has been expanding its business in mobile games for quite some time. The company acquired the game developer Night School Studio.

TechCrunch reported last month that Netflix is expanding in the gaming area by adding titles such as Frosty Pop’s “Shooting Hoops,” “Teeter Up,” and Rogue Games’ “Card Blast” to their casual games catalog. It is currently available to Netflix subscribers in Poland, Italy, and Spain, however. From now on, the company will make available the full line of Android games, including two “Stranger Things” titles and three casual titles, to all subscribers globally (Android only).

As soon as the Netflix app is updated, users will be able to access the free available games directly from the app. Select a game under the Games tab and you’ll be redirected to the Google Play Store to install the title as you would with any other game or app. Once the game is installed, you can start playing it. To access the game, you need to subscribe to Netflix. There you have it!
