A new Mi TV has reportedly been spotted on the Google Play Console listing suggesting an imminent launch. The listing of a new Mi TV model reveals key specifications of the TV, including the display resolution, chipset, RAM, and more. As per the Play Console listing, the upcoming Mi TV is said to be codenamed “croods” after a 2013 animated movie. Apart from this, a few more Mi TVs have also been spotted in the Google Play Console listing, claims a report from 91Mobiles. These are reportedly codenamed “amilie” and “dangal,” which are also the names of movies.

As per the listing, the new Mi TV will feature the MediaTek t31 chipset that uses four ARM Cortex A-55 cores. The SoC will be coupled with 2FB of RAM and ARM Mali G52 GPU. It supports an FHD (1920×1080) resolution display with a screen density of 320. As said before, the Mi TV will run on the Android 10 platform and it’s expected to be a part of the Mi TV 4X series. Apart from this, the report also claims to have spotted an image on the listing, which it says could be a placeholder. The upcoming smart TV could also launch in India soon.
It’s been a while since Xiaomi launched any Mi TV in India. It was in December 2020 when the company announced its last model, the Mi QLED TV. It came with a 55-inch 4K panel with Dolby Vision and had a screen-to-body ratio of 96 percent. Apart from this, the Mi QLED TV also supports Dolby Atmos and DTS-HD. It carries a price tag of ₹54,999 in India. However, the new Mi TV that’s spotted on the Google Play Console is said to be a more affordable offering. The phone is expected to launch soon.
