Next-Gen Metro Exodus is Releasing on Xbox Series X/S and PS5 on June 18

Metro Exodus was introduced back in 2019 as the first-person shooter game. Cut to now, it’s Metro Exodus: Enhanced Edition reached PC just this week allowing PC users to buy the digital or physical copy of the game to play. Recent updates coming from the Metro Exodus Twitter handle to confirm that 4A Games and publisher Deep Silver are gearing up to launch the Metro Exodus: Enhanced Edition on both Microsoft Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and Sony PlayStation 5 on June 18, Friday.

Next-gen Metro Exodus is arriving on consoles

The announcement comes from the Twitter handle where the PC Enhanced Edition is already out and the game is soon to arrive on consoles with just a month to spare. The next-gen Metro Exodus offers a much better gaming experience thanks to the 60fps at 4K resolution that the publisher has promised for both consoles. In fact, the game will arrive with ray tracking as well.

Furthermore, haptic feedback which is essential in making a game immersive is coming to PS5 thanks to the DualSense controller that supports haptic feedback.

Metro Exodus is a first-person shooter game and the third-entry in the franchise. It follows the protagonist Artyom as he attempts to find a new place for his people. This edition of the game is mostly above the ground rather than the Russian Metro tunnels that its predecessors were based on.

It is a quest to explore, combat against newly mutated enemies, use websites, and complete side objectives as the story progresses.

Those who already have Metro Exodus will get their hands on the Enhanced Version without paying anything extra. Apart from that, if you don’t have the game, you will have to purchase it and you can do so either in a digital or physical format where the latter is called “Complete Edition” which packs in pieces of DLC that the game received over the months after its release.

The next-gen Metro Exodus is already available on Stadia, Xbox One, PS4, and PC, and the Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PS5 will get their hands on the game soon i.e. on June 18.
