Nokia C21, Nokia C21 Plus, and Nokia C2 2nd Edition is live with Android 11 Go Edition at MWC 2022

To recall, recently the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2022 event took place in Barcelona where the home of Nokia ‘HMD Global’ has launched three new Nokia budget smartphones. These models do come under the Nokia C-series such as the Nokia C21, Nokia C21 Plus, and the Nokia C2 2nd Edition smartphones.

However, due to the lower hardware specs, these models run on the Android 11 Go Edition software. Now, let’s take a quick look at each of the new device models in brief below.

Nokia C21 and Nokia C21 Plus

The standard Nokia C21 and the higher-end Nokia C21 Plus models have similar specs and features. Both the C21 models do come with a 6.5-inch HD+ display and a 20:9 aspect ratio. There is a teardrop-notch present on the display that houses a 5MP selfie camera. While the standard C21 model comes with a single 8MP rear camera.

On the other side, the higher-end C21 Plus model has a dual rear camera setup. It includes a primary 13MP sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. Both models offer the Unisoc SC9863A SoC with an octa-core design. The Nokia C21 model includes up to 3GB of RAM and up to 64GB of internal storage.

Nokia C21 Plus offers up to 4GB of RAM and up to 64GB of internal storage. Both the models have a dedicated microSD card slot that’s expandable up to 256GB. Talking about the battery, the Nokia C21 model packs a 3,000mAh battery that supports 5W standard charging and not fast charging.

Though its higher-end sibling comes with a 4,000mAh battery or a 5,050mAh battery, the 10W charging support is the maximum. Both the Nokia C21 and the C21 Plus have a micro-USB port for charging instead of a USB-C port. Luckily, we can find a 3.5mm audio jack on both devices.

The Nokia C21 Plus is water and dust resistant with an IP52 rating, unlike the Nokia C21 model that has no such rating. Both models have a fingerprint sensor on the backside and run on Android 11 Go Edition out-of-the-box. In terms of colors, the Nokia C21 comes in Dark Blue and Warm Grey, while the Nokia C21 Plus comes in Dark Cyan and Warm Grey.

Nokia C2 2nd Edition

Talking about the Nokia C2 2nd Edition, it’s a lower-grade smartphone that features a 5.7-inch display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. It offers a display resolution of 480 x 960 pixels. It includes a quad-core MediaTek chipset, coupled with up to 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The handset packs an in-built microSD slot that expands up to 256GB of additional storage. It packs a 2,400mAh battery with 5W charging support.

The Nokia C2 2nd Edition model supports 4G VoLTE dual-SIM slot, Wi-Fi 4, and Bluetooth 5 connectivity options. It also includes a micro-USB port for charging and a 3.5mm audio jack. It also runs on Android 11 Go Edition out-of-the-box and comes in two color variants as well.

Price

The Nokia C21 and the C21 Plus have a starting price of €99 (around Rs 8,345) and €119 (around Rs 10,029) respectively. While the Nokia C2 2nd Edition model comes at a cheaper price tag of €79 (around Rs 6,700) in the market.
