Nothing OS 1.1.3 brings new features and camera improvements to Nothing Phone 1

Nothing brand has just released a new software update for the Nothing PH-1 handset. The much-awaited launch of the Nothing Phone 1 did end last month. Though the handset is quite well, it’s not obviously a perfect one. As a new Android smartphone brand in such a competitive market, Nothing has done a great job at least for now. Back to the topic, Nothing OS 1.1.3 brings new features and camera improvements to Nothing Phone 1.

Meanwhile, Nothing has already released a couple of software updates for the device to bring some improvements and bug fixes that were initially spotted by the users majorly. It’s also worth mentioning that the Indian variant will cost slightly higher than the actual one which might be a tricky movement. As per some reports, the company has increased 1,000 INR extra for the Indian market because of the fluctuation of the currency exchange rates. So, the price will be INR 33,999.

According to some reports, Nothing OS 1.1.3 (Android 12) includes the selfie camera quality improvement, enhanced color saturation for the ultrawide camera, faster capture of Night Mode shots, and HDR photo processing. Whereas the update also brings noise reduction, enhances sharpness while zoomed in mode, better brightness & color of images while using Glyph lighting, etc.

Apart from the camera improvements, the latest Nothing OS 1.1.3 update also includes a fix for the third-party apps stuttering issue like Twitter & Google Play Store. It also fixes the bug that crashes the lock screen on the device after tapping on a lock screen notification and while using the fingerprint unlock.

So, we’re assuming that the mentioned bugs have been fixed now completely, and no more new bugs will arise later installing this specific software update. Even though this update is quite heavy in improvements, it only weighs 64.33MB in size. So, all the Nothing Phone 1 users should install this update straightaway.

At the time of launching this device, Nothing brand did reveal that Nothing Phone 1 supports up to 1200 nits peak brightness but this particular feature isn’t unlocked yet. Therefore, we’re expecting that Nothing will soon release a software update to unlock this feature as promised earlier.
