Nvidia and Intel Release High-End Laptop GPUs and CPUs

Both Intel and Nvidia made massive announcements earlier today releasing 11-gen laptop CPUs and RTX GPUs respectively. Here’s more about both the announcements.

Nvidia releases RTX 3050 and RTX 3050 Ti laptop GPUs

Talking about Nvidia’s story first, the GPU maker announced two new laptop GPUs called the RTX3050 and RTX 3050 To both with DLSS, ray tracing, and other feature sets of the RTX lineup of GPUs. According to Eurogamer, Nvidia has brought these new CPUs with state-of-the-art features on a mainstream segment that would benefit both the users and the gamers using mid-range machines.

Both the graphics units are made on 8nm processes with TDP between 35W to 80W depending upon which machine they will go in. The 3050 Ti can ship with 2,50 CUDA cores while the 3050 ships with 2048 cores. Both have 4GB GDDR memory on both. The 3050 Ti has a maximum boost clock between 1035MHz to 1695MHz while the 3050 reaches a level of 1,057MHz and 1,740MHz of high frequency and low-frequency respectively.

Nvidia is likely to furnish this new lineup of laptop CPU soon although the timeline is available.

Intel releases new Intel Tiger Lake H CPUs

The Team Blue has now released its latest CPU called Intel Riger Lake H. Earlier when Nvidia launched its 30-series laptop GPUs, Intel had no choice but to ship 10-gen CPUs on laptops as it lacked 45W TDP.

Cut to now, the Intel Tiger Lake H manufactured on a 10nm SupeFin process capable of producing 19 percent higher IPC over the last generations. Intel has released five modes of its CPUs across Core i5, Core i7, and Core i9 spread. It includes the overclockable Core i9 11980HK to a mid-range Core i5 11260H. All these new CPUs have 45W TDP as standards although they can be altered between 35W to 65W based on which machines are using it.

Apart from that, Core i9s which are likely to get the higher 65W ultimate performance level are likely to access the Turbo Boost Max 3.0 technology that escalated the frequency of the two best-performing cores on the CPU. Here, the 11980HK gets overclocked up to 5.0GHz while the 11900H Tiger Lake H CPU gets as high as 4.9GHz.
