OnePlus’ latest series smartphones, the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro have started receiving an update with a set of camera improvements and several odd fixes. The OxygenOS update with version 11.2.4.4.LE15DA is being rolled out by OnePlus to the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro with the latest Android security patch for April 2021. According to the screenshots shared by an OnePlus 9-series user on OnePlus forums, the update weighs only 349MB in size on both phones. As per the changelog, the OxygenOS 11.2.4.4 update for OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro brings camera improvements, various bug fixes, and the latest Android security patch. OnePlus suggests that this update will improve “image purity” as well as “ambiance performance.” The update changelog also suggests that both the handsets will get improvements in charging stability, keyboard sensitivity, and temperature control strategy. Apart from these new features, the latest OnePlus 9 update, as most updates do, fixes “known issues” and improves the system stability.

 Speaking of fixes, there was a major issue in the OnePlus 9 series where the battery icon in the status bar was “abnormally displayed.” But OnePlus has now fixed it with this OxygenOS 11.2.4.4 update. Further, like said before, the update brings the Android security patch to April, which means your device is protected from the latest security vulnerabilities.

The latest OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro OxygenOS 11.2.4.4 update is available as an OTA and you can tab the “Download & Install Now” button. OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro users can also check for the update manually by going to System Update in OnePlus Settings. If it’s available, you should see version 11.2.4.4.LE15DA. If it’s not available, you may have to wait for some more days till the update is rolled out for your device.
