OnePlus (now merged with OPPO) seems to be attempting to enter the affordable mid-budget segment smartphone market after capturing the flagship-killer segment. Even though OnePlus’s brand did not have a great year in 2020, Nord’s customer base is expanding steadily. It is reported that OnePlus might include fast charging with 80W capability in the Nord series.
It has been rumored that OnePlus will bring fast charging to even cheaper devices, which would be quite interesting. According to Digit.in and @OnLeaks, the upcoming OnePlus Nord 2T will have a minor upgrade that includes 80W fast charging.
As far as the OnePlus Nord 2 is concerned, the battery capacity has increased from 65W to 80W. As of earlier this month, the OnePlus 10 Pro was available in China with 80W charging. A possibility is also that Oneplus Nord 2T’s internal chipset will upgrade from MediaTek Dimensity 1200 to MediaTek Dimensity 1300.
As for leaks, the OnePlus Nord 2T may have a 6.43-inch Full-HD+ display, Android 12, triple rear cameras with a 50MP primary sensor, 8MP ultrawide and 2MP monochrome, and a 32MP selfie camera.
Despite not knowing the price or release date, we expect the handset to be available in India.
