OnePlus Nord CE 5G to launch this week

OnePlus is all set to release their latest budget offering, the OnePlus Nord CE 5G. The CE stands for Core Edition. The website TechRadar has managed to grab a render of the device from the company itself.

The new device Nord CE 5G looks quite similar to the original iteration of the OnePlus Nord. Coming back to the CE edition, the Nord CE 5G will be a stripped of some features when it comes to technical specs. The head product manager of OnePlus, Oliver Zhang has told TechRadar that the company was ‘distilling the product down to the most important things.’

He went on to say,

You see mid-range phones on the market with very exaggerated specifications. We actively avoided some of those features and kept the things we felt would really make a difference to the daily smartphone experience, like fast charging (Warp Charge 30T Plus), a 90Hz AMOLED display, or 5G.

The company was accused of hyping its specs in the past with the release of the original OnePlus Nord. Then, it featured a quad-camera with a 2 MP macro camera and a depth sensor that was good for nothing. However, things have changed quite a bit, and the OnePlus Nord CE 5G features a triple camera setup.

The prominent tipster EVleaks has even posted some images and one video of the Nord CE 5G, giving us an insight into some specs, such as the 64MP camera. And, it also features a headphone jack for people who are still using it.

The company is revealing the phone on June 10, 10 PM ET. It is aimed at the European and Indian markets.
