Michael Jackson’s daughter Paris Jackson says she is suffering from PTSD because of paparazzi

Paris-Michael Katherine Jackson an American model, actress, singer, and musician is the only daughter of pop star Michael Jackson. Recently, in a show called Red Table Talk, she revealed that she is suffering from PTSD.

Growing up in the public eye surely has perks. But when it comes to Paris Jackson, this is surely not the case. The only daughter of the legendary pop icon Michael Jackson has come out and said things during a talk with Willow Smith, the daughter of Will Smith. During their intimate conversation, Paris revealed that she has Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, commonly referred to as PTSD, because of her experiences with the Paparazzi.

She said,

I experience auditory hallucinations sometimes with camera clicks and severe paranoia and have been going to therapy for a lot of things, but that included. I’ll hear a trash bag rustling and flinch in panic. I think it’s standard PTSD.

Paris, 23, also revealed that she has some sort of nightmares. She elaborated on the same, saying,

But it’s primarily, like, if I’m out in public during the day. I don’t really go out during the day. I do catch it affecting my personal relationships, especially romantic relationships. PTSD can affect pretty much every aspect of your life. I’ve just, like, started the healing process… I love EMDR [therapy]. It’s very intense, and it puts you in a very fragile and vulnerable state, but it is a very effective kind of therapy.

Paris previously starred as a shady social media guru in the popular drama series “Star” produced by Lee-Daniels. She went on to discuss her sexuality with Willow. In 2020, in one episode of her Facebook Watch series called “Unfiltered: Paris Jackson & Gabriel Glenn,” Jackson said she had dated more women than men. However, she “wouldn’t consider [herself] bisexual.”

That led to some tensions between her and her family. But her brothers Prince Michael and Prince Michael II were quick to come out in her support. Their long-time family friend Omer Bhatti also did the same. To understand her better, her brother Price Jackson had also joined a high school LGBTQ+ club that unites youth.

“Not a lot of people can say they have siblings that support them like that,” she added. Moreover, she told Willow Smith that everyone who visits their home has to sign an NDA. She also revealed that she had contemplated suicide quite a few times and that their family’s beliefs played a huge part in her sexual journey to date.
