Realme has been relentlessly releasing smartphones in the mid-range and the budget segment. Its developers are no exception. The company has finally released the Realme UI 2.0 based on Android 11 for both the Realme 6 Pro and the 7 Pro. The Realme UI 2.0 Android 11 builds were under beta testing for quite a while now. The company recently announced that both phones will soon be receiving the update via OTA in the coming days.
The Android 11 Realme UI 2.0 brings in a ton of new features and works on existing improving ones. For example, the update now includes three dark mode styles the user can opt for. The update was announced on the Realme forum. The Realme 7 Pro will come with the version number RMX2170_11.C.20 whereas the Realme 6 Pro has the version number RMX2061_11.C.15. Initially, the update will be available to select users who would be chosen randomly, with the update being available to everyone in the coming weeks.
The smaller rollout ensures that the update is free from any groundbreaking bugs or errors. The changelog of both devices is almost identical, with minor device-specific changes. Another area where Android 11 improves on is the number of device personalization features. Users are now able to customize the interface and even create their own wallpapers by picking colors from their collections. Realme UI 2.0 launcher now can be customized even more with the ability to choose from user-installed icon packs. The three dark mode profiles include three modes to choose from, namely – gentle, medium, and enhanced.
The update also allows the Realme 7 Pro and the Realme 6 Pro also allow users to drag images, text, and other media from floating windows or from one app to another using the phone’s split-screen mode. It also optimized the existing night charging feature that controls the charging speed of the device to extend the battery life. The in-built app lock can now be toggled using the Quick Settings tile. You can also summon the Game assistant in a variety of ways.
There are a lot of other features the update brings with itself, making it almost impossible to track changes to the existing one and listing new ones. In case you are unable to update to Realme UI 2.0 based on Android 11, the company says it will come to your device soon.
