Earlier this week, Redmi announced that its upcoming gaming phone — the Redmi K40 Game Enhanced Edition — will make its debut in China on April 27th at 7:30 pm local time. But ahead of the launch, this latest Redmi device has been teased, and some design and key details have been revealed by the company, including the smartphone’s specifications.
Redmi has released a new teaser of its special Game Enhanced Edition of the Redmi K40, revealing some design details of the phone. The teaser poster shows that the upcoming Redmi K40 Game Enhanced Edition will feature a triple rear camera setup with laser autofocus. Recently, the company took to Weibo to announce that its upcoming gaming smartphone will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC, a flagship chipset that powers the Realme GT Neo. The SoC is built on a 6nm fabrication process.
Redmi K40 Game Enhanced Edition Specs, Features (Expected)
As said before, the Redmi K40 Game Enhanced Edition teaser shows that the phone will come with a triple-camera setup at the back. The front panel of the phone will sport a hole-punch display with a 120Hz or 144Hz refresh rate. According to the reports, the Redmi K40 Game Enhanced Edition will feature a 6.67-inch AMOLED FHD+ display with 2400 x 1080 pixels resolution. Further, the device is confirmed to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chipset with the prime Cortex-A78 CPU core clocked at up to 3Ghz.
Apart from this, some reports also claim that the Redmi K40 gaming edition will come with air triggers to improve the gaming performance. The triple-camera setup at the back is expected to house a 64-megapixel primary sensor. As per the 3C certification listing, the Redmi K40 gaming edition should come with 67W fast charging and 5G support. For now, that’s all we know about Xiaomi’s upcoming gaming smartphone.
