Redmi TV XL Features Teased on Amazon India Ahead of March 17 Launch

Xiaomi has teased the India launch of its upcoming TV, the Redmi TV XL, on several occasions, but the company has now confirmed that it’ll launch on March 17th. The smart TV has got a dedicated landing page on Amazon India, and key features of the upcoming Redmi-branded TV have also been teased. It’s reportedly the Indian version of the Redmi MAX TV that Xiaomi launched sometime back in China. The upcoming TV comes with Dolby Vision and HDR10 certification.

According to a tweet from Xiaomi India Head Manu Kumar Jain, the Redmi TV XL is for launch in India on March 17. The TV will be launched via a virtual event on the said date, which you can watch by going to Xiaomi’s dedicated page for the launch event. Redmi TV XL Specs, Features

The Redmi TV XL features a colossal 86-inch 4K resolution LCD panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. The TV, like most modern-day televisions, uses a MEMC chip for adjusting its refresh rate dynamically, upscale standard definition (SD) to high definition (HD) in real-time, and more. It has support for HDR10+, HDR10, Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, DTS-HD, and more. The display is said to cover 92% of the DCI-P3 color spectrum. Besides, the smart TV packs dual 24W speakers for giving an immersive sound experience.

Further, the Redmi TV XL uses a quad-core Cortex A53-based CPU that is paired with 2GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, and a Mali-G52 MC1 GPU. For connectivity, the upcoming Xiaomi’s smart TV includes two USB ports, three HDMI ports, one ethernet jack, and one S/PDIF port. According to the reports, one of the HDMI ports will support eARC.
