Samsung Galaxy A22 5G Appears on Geekbench With Dimensity 700 SoC, 6GB RAM, and More

Samsung’s upcoming 5G smartphone — the Samsung Galaxy A22 5G— has appeared on the Geekbench benchmarking site and key specifications of the device have also been leaked. Earlier this week, the design renders of the handset had also been leaked online, revealing how the phone will look when launched. While the renders showed that the Galaxy A22 5G will feature a triple-camera setup at the back and sport an LCD panel with a waterdrop notch, now the hardware specifications have also been leaked. Here’s what the upcoming Samsung Galaxy A22 5G will have to offer.

According to the Geekbench listing, the upcoming affordable 5G Samsung Galaxy A22 will feature the latest MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC. This chipset was recently launched and made its debut with the Realme 8 5G in India. The handset will come with 6GB RAM and run Android 11 with One UI 3.1 skin on top. Further, the Samsung Galaxy A22 5G is expected to sport a 6.5-inch waterdrop notch display with a 90Hz refresh rate.

In terms of optics, the Galaxy A22 5G will feature a triple rear camera setup, which could be spearheaded by a 48-megapixel primary sensor. At the front, there will be a selfie camera housed in a waterdrop-style notch on the phone screen. Like its predecessor, the Samsung Galaxy A22 5G is also expected to pack a 5,000mAh battery with 15W fast charging support. The onboard storage could go up to 128GB. Further, it’s speculated that the price of the handset will lie below ₹15,000.
