Samsung released two midrange devices in India two months ago i.e Galaxy A52 and Galaxy A72 and I am talking about 4G variants of the two. It didn’t release a 5G smartphone until Galaxy M42 5G just last month which became the country’s first Galaxy smartphone with 5G support. Cut to now, the Samsung Galaxy A52 5G is likely to arrive in India soon.
According to a report published by SamMobile, the South Korean giant has reportedly started firmware development for the upcoming Galaxy A52 5G for the Indian release soon. Tagged with model number SM-A526B, the Galaxy A52 5G is better than the 4G variant in specifications while providing the next-gen 5G wireless connectivity as well. This should increase the price tag on the 5G variant which is expected to fetch approximately INR 5,000 more than the 4G variant.

Note that the Galaxy A52 5G is already available outside India. This means all the specifications mentioned here are exactly what the South Korean giant will ship the expected 5G edition of the Galaxy A52 as well unless there are some changes exclusive for the Indian variant.
The Samsung Galaxy A52 5G packs in a giant 6.5-inch Super AMOLED Infinity-O panel with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. There’s an in-display optical fingerprint scanner. The phone arrived with a 32MP front selfie shooter and a 64MP+12MP+5MP+5MP rear quad-camera setup.
Moving further, the device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G processor which is a better and faster processor than the Galaxy A52 4G variant. As usual, the device will be shipped with Android 11 out-of-the-box.
Moving on, there are two RAM variants i.e. 6GB and 8GB and there are two storage variants i.e. 128GB and 256GB, however, the latter is unlikely to be sold in India. The battery under the hood is a 4,500 mAh power bank with a 25W fast charging support. Other specifications include a stereo speakers setup and an IP67 dust and water resistance rating.
About the price tag, the Galaxy A52 4G is available in India at INR 26,499, and INR 27,999/- for 6GB and 8GB variants respectively. Expect a Rs 5,000/- hike in the price tag of the 5G variant.
