Samsung Galaxy S21 to receive stable Android 12-based One UI 4 version soon

As November 2021 slowly progresses, Samsung is almost ready to release the much-anticipated One UI 4.0 stable update. Since last month, the OEM has stopped recruiting new beta testers for the Samsung Galaxy S21 series’ One UI 4 Beta testing program based on Android 12. In some regions, One UI 4.0 Beta 4 has already been made available to beta testers for the Galaxy S21 series. Therefore, it seems that Samsung Galaxy S21 will receive a stable Android 12-based One UI 4 version very soon.

According to the South Korean Samsung Community Beta Operations Manager, there will be no more beta updates since the 4th beta has already been pushed to the beta testers. This means there will be no Beta 5 update. As soon as the company has finished fixing all the bugs or stability issues with this final Beta 4 build, stable One UI 4 based on Android 12 will be released.

In its initial phase, the stable rollout will be available initially to Samsung Galaxy S21 series devices only in selected regions. Next, the update will start being pushed to the Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Z Fold 3 models, according to reports. Also note that, if an update is needed in terms of the hotfix, it can be released under the Beta 4 build.

According to the Beta Operation Manager, there was no mention of a specific release date or week for One UI 4.0. But if we look at the past trends of Samsung, we can expect the software update to start rolling out later this month or by December 2021.

In spite of this, Ice Universe, a popular leaker, is claiming that a 5th beta is on its way. Therefore, we are unsure whether the beta 5 build will be released or not. We assume that the stable release will be pushed to users of the Galaxy S21 series soon followed by users of Z Fold 3, Z Flip 3, Note 20 series, etc.
