Samsung has successfully started rolling out the One UI 4.0 stable version based on Android 12 to the Galaxy S21 series a couple of weeks ago. It’s done after the successful beta testing program to the limited number of Galaxy S21 series but it looks like that a newly spotted bug or issue is troubling the One UI 4.0 users recently.
Samsung has now halted the official stable rollout process for the Galaxy S21 lineup in South Korea due to incompatibility issues with Google Play. As per the forum post by a Samsung community moderator, the issue with Google Play Store isn’t just limited to Samsung but Google also needs to take a quick look into it. Right now there is no solution or patch fix available yet.
Affected users may have to wait further to get it fixed and the rest of the Galaxy S21 series users will have to wait for Samsung to resume the One UI 4.0 stable update. We aren’t aware of how widespread the issue is. So, it’s better to wait for a couple of weeks at least to know more or get further updates.
We should also mention that the forum moderator did mention Samsung will start redistributing One UI 4.0 stable update to the rest of the Galaxy S21 series devices whenever Google fixes this issue. Some reports are coming out that Samsung has released a new version of Galaxy S21, Galaxy Z Fold 3 & Flip 3 devices in some regions. The third-gen Galaxy foldable phones have received a stable Android 12 update in South Korea.
