Samsung is now rolling out One UI 4 with Android 12 for Galaxy S21 series

Over the past few weeks, Samsung has been testing the One UI 4 update based on Android 12 in public for beta testers. Now that One UI 4 has been through several beta updates, it appears Samsung has checked all the stability and bugs regarding the new version. Samsung is now officially rolling out One UI 4 on the Samsung Galaxy S21 series with Android 12.

For all Samsung fans and Galaxy S21 users, this is great news since they’re the only ones to receive both the beta and stable versions before anyone else. The company has officially announced the release of One UI 4 to the Galaxy S21, S21+, and S21 Ultra models. As the One UI 4 update is being rolled out in batches, all Galaxy S21 models will eventually receive the update within the next few weeks.

It’s worth noting that Samsung has been rolling out the Android 12-based update much earlier than expected, which is good news. According to the Telus forum, the community manager has mentioned that the Galaxy S21 series will start receiving the Android 12 update including system optimizations from November 23, 2021. However, Samsung seems to be in a hurry this time and is releasing the update earlier than usual.

The expected date may apply to some regions due to the phased update process. The One UI 4 comes with new widgets, vibrant new color schemes, a broader range of emojis, GIFs and stickers on the keyboard. Additionally, it includes a privacy dashboard, camera/mic/location indicator, etc.

Samsung has also released an update to the Galaxy Watch, Galaxy Watch Active, Galaxy Watch Active2, and Galaxy Watch3 wearables that will enable “users to enjoy enhanced health features and new watch faces”.
