Samsung One UI 5 Beta Program based on Android 13 goes live for Galaxy S22 series in the US

Samsung has finally launched the One UI 5 Open Beta Program for the Galaxy S22 series models like Galaxy S22 | S22+ | S22 Ultra on August 7, 2022. Well, this specific open beta program is only applicable to US residents only as of now. In the upcoming days, the chances are high that Samsung will gonna release the One UI 5 Beta Program for other Galaxy models apart from other regions.

As we’re already aware that Google is getting on the verge of releasing the Android 13 official stable build publicly pretty soon, other OEMs are also preparing for the beta testing phase. Samsung is quite active in terms of providing software updates, patch updates, and public beta testing programs a lot quicker.

One UI 5 Beta Program is Live

If we talk about the initial release of the One UI 5.0 open beta build update for the Samsung Galaxy S22 series, it comes with the firmware version S90xUSQU2ZVH4 (carrier-locked models) and the firmware version S90xU1UEU2ZVH4 (carrier-unlocked models) respectively in the USA. The new Android 13-based One UI 5.0 beta update includes the latest August 2022 security patch build.

Whereas the T-Mobile carrier users will be able to sign-up the beta program as soon as the carrier brand gets support for the same. Meanwhile, Verizon carrier users will be able to sign up for the beta testing program via the Samsung Members app. But it’s quite unfortunate that the first batch or quota has been filled up very quickly and interested Galaxy S22 series users are now unable to join the beta program.

As per multiple reports, users are getting the ‘Program is Full’ message while trying to sign-up for the program. So, it seems that the beta program slot is currently full to start with. But you shouldn’t lose hope because Samsung might open the second or third batch of the beta testers program very soon. So, keep checking the Samsung Members app periodically and keep trying.

In terms of the One UI 5 Beta build based on Android 13, Samsung has mentioned the new dynamic color themes, enhanced notification control, improved sound & vibration settings, enhancements in the One UI framework, etc. The One UI looks more tailored and precise in terms of the overall look & feel.

While the enhanced language & sound settings offer easy access to the users. Interested users can adjust their preferred language for their different applications which will be a plus point. Improved security & privacy tool is now more aggressive to detect potential issues or vulnerabilities. Additionally, improved camera features like Pro Video Mode will gonna be useful.
