Samsung will release One UI 3.1.1 sometime in late August

Last year, Samsung released the One UI 3.0 based on Android 11. This year, the company decided to upgrade it to One UI 3.1 when the Galaxy S21 series was launched.

Fast forward to July, the developers are now testing One UI 3.1.1. According to a report by TizenHelp, One UI 3.1.1 might make it to the Samsung Galaxy S21 Series in the second half of August. The news comes from a moderator on the Samsung Community forum.

It also hints that the upcoming Foldable smartphones from Samsung might also feature the One UI 3.1.1 on launch. Moreover, according to the CheckFirm app, the South Korean manufacturer has already started testing the update on Galaxy S21 series.

Samsung will release One UI 3.1.1 sometime in late August

The One UI 3.1.1 for the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra will upgrade the firmware version to G998NKSU3BUGC. If we look at the previous iterations of One UI, we should expect the upcoming One UI 3.1.1 to bring new features to the latest Samsung flagship lineup.

It will be followed by the update to the Samsung Galaxy S20 lineup, which we might see sometime in September. All in all, we expect the Galaxy S21 series to receive two updates in August.

However, don’t expect the update to hit the mid and low-range devices. We expect them to be upgraded directly to One UI 4.0.
