Marvel has always had a special place inside our hearts from the beginning. They gave us comics that comforted us in our darkest hours, some amazing movies that became the topics of long conversations with our friends, and now with its Phase 4 we are stepping into the world of TV shows, that will provide us our dose of superheroes every week. What more could we ask for!
With the end of a massive and megascale Phase-3, which ended with “Spiderman- Far From Home” ( Well technically Avengers- Endgame), we are stepping into the next phase, but this time with a rough start. Covid restrictions made it difficult to release any movie, even for Marvel Universe. For 2 years we were left with no Marvel movie insight. But now with the banging entry of “Black Widow”, we have officially ceremoniously kick-started our Phase-4.
Phase 4 brings with itself some new opportunities and a little zing. This time Phase will only last for two years rather than Marvel’s usual three to four-year-long phases. Additionally, we are going to be getting some weekly shows with our favorite superheroes all thanks to Disney+. Kevin Feige seemed as excited about this opportunity as he mentions that it “Gave us a chance to deep dive” and “We really wanted to have a showcase”.
Already moving forward with their three successful shows “WandaVision”, “Falcon” and “The Winter Soldier” and currently running “Loki” they are seeing a great response.
With the current trailer release of “What if …?” and the premise of seeing our beloved superheroes in circumstances that cannot even be imagined ( A multiverse-multidimensions content heading your way), they are going strong.
So here’s a lineup of all the movies and shows that you can expect to blow your mind in the future and all that is in store for Marvel Phase 4. Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings on September 3, 2021, leading with our first Asian superhero film under Marvel Universe, ending the wait for The Real Mandarin. Eternals on November 5, 2021, story about immortal humanoids, something that hasn’t been seen before from Marvel. Spider-Man: No Way Home on December 17, 2021, it’s always fun to see what new Tom Holland and cast can do.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness on March 25, 2022, this movie is said to be one of the most important movies of Phase 4, it will decide the future of MCU. Thor: Love and Thunder on May 6, 2022, as one of the only living members of the trio ( Iron-Man, Captain America, Thor), we all want to know what’s next in his legacy. Black Panther- Wakanda forever ( July 8, 2022), The Marvels ( November 11, 2022), Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania (February 17, 2023), and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (May 5, 2023), She-Hulk, are some the shows and movie you can expect.
The jam-packed schedule of MCU has fans on the edges of their seats. With the exit of some key characters ( Iron-Man, Captain America) from the Marvel Universe and the entry of some new, we still have to see whether Marvel can make it through the test of time.
