The popular streaming service Peacock is now available on Samsung TVs

Peacock, NBCUniversal’s video streaming service, is now available on Samsung TVs. It is one of the most recent video streaming services on the internet.

Peacock is now available on Tizen OS-powered Smart TVs. If you own a Samsung TV, then you can download the app right now. The service offers a vast collection consisting of movies, shows, live news, and sports channels.

This is in line with the start of the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. They will begin on July 23 and conclude on 8 August 2021. Although the Tokyo Olympics was going t be held last year, they got delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

NBC has the broadcasting rights for the Tokyo Olympics and is going to air more than 7,000 hours of content. The release of the app on Samsung Smart TVs will only boost the number of viewers. In addition, the Dreamworks movie The Boss Baby: Family Business will also feature as an exclusive this summer.

Just in time for the Olympics, our partnership with Peacock also means Samsung users will now have more ways to access and enjoy the Tokyo Games

Last year, the service was released on various platforms, including Android, Xbox, Chromecast, AppleTV, amongst many more. So it was just a matter of time before Peacock was available on Tizen OS.

Samsung is a powerful platform and we are excited to bring Peacock to millions of their dedicated streamers across the country. From the world premiere of The Boss Baby: Family Business to the Tokyo Olympics, Samsung users will now enjoy seamless access to many of the biggest programming events of the year, as well Peacock’s massive catalog of the best movies, TV shows, news, and sports

The only platform where Peacock is not available is Amazon’s FireTV lineup. With the Tokyo Olympics starting soon, we might see NBC working with Amazon in the coming days.
