New Leak Reveals Thor and Loki Phones Belong to the Xiaomi Mix Lineup, Not Xiaomi 12 Ultra

Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi has been rumored to be working on a new phone, the Xiaomi 12 Ultra. But earlier this week, a leak suggested that the company was also developing a second version of the phone — the Xiaomi 12 Ultra Enhanced Edition. The leak revealed that the upcoming two devices with model numbers L1 and L1A were codenamed “Thor” and “Loki,” respectively. However, a new leak suggests that these two Thor and Loki phones will not be from the Xiaomi 12 family, but will be from the Xiaomi Mix family.

According to a new report from Xiaomiui.net, the same website that earlier leaked these two phones, the upcoming Thor and Loki phones will be the devices from the Xiaomi Mix lineup. The report says that these phones will belong to the Xiaomi Mix 5 family. The phones associated with model numbers 2203121C and 2203121AC have reportedly appeared on a Chinese certification website. The certification listings state that these devices belong to the upcoming Xiaomi Mix series. However, these listings are only for the Chinese market, which, of course, can change in the future.

Xiaomi Mix 5 Leaked Specifications, Launch Date

As per the report, the Loki and Thor codenames are associated with the Mix 5 generation. The upcoming smartphone family is rumored to feature a triple 50MP+48MP+48MP real camera setup. The phones will also have a 48MP front camera that may use CUP technology. Apart from this, the upcoming Mix 5 series will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 (SM8450) processor.

In addition to this, the smartphone series will feature a new generation in-screen fingerprint technology. Moreover, the devices will be capable of 12X Video and up to 120X Photo Zoom. While the phones are still in development, the report says that these Thor and Loki phones will be introduced in March 2022. As said before, the Mix 5 family is currently exclusive to China. However, Xiaomi’s plans may change in the future, and at least one of the two phones may be made available in outside markets.
