Vivaldi releases version 5.0 of its Android browser introducing two rows of tabs

Vivaldi has released version 5.0 of its Android browser. Vivaldi 5.0 browser for Android introduces two rows of tabs, which is the first of its kind for a mobile browser. The feature is taken from Vivaldi’s desktop app. Others are yet to include it in their desktop apps. Vivaldi has done a great job in this regard.

Vivaldi 5.0 for Android users can now use two tab bars when using the mobile browser, one for stacks of tabs and the other for tabs inside. Tab rows with stacks allow users to group together a bunch of related tabs and then cycle between stacks instead of individual tabs. Therefore, you can simply drag tabs together to create a tab stack.

Additionally, users can customize the appearance of the tabs. To close all tabs except the current one, you can disable the X button. However, the X button does not take up much space on the background tabs. Additionally, you can shrink all open tabs down to just their favicon size in order to save even more space.

With Vivaldi 5.0, Android tablets now have a panel on the left and a quick access mode for bookmarks, history, notes, etc. Speaking of notes, the feature is now available on Android so you can easily save notes in the browser to be accessed later.

Last but not least, the update brings dark mode to websites. By turning on this feature, users can change the background color of the site to dark widely. Dark backgrounds help to reduce eye strain in low-light environments. If you want to use this browser or update to the latest version, then make sure to download Vivaldi 5.0 from the Play Store.
