Vivo is working on the upcoming Origin OS Ocean that will be released pretty soon in China. In the meantime, the company has unveiled this new version of skin for its devices in a video teaser. It should be noted that this skin will only be available for the Vivo Chinese devices, whereas the global variants will still have FuntouchOS.
According to the video teaser, the new OS will be announced on December 9, 2021. According to the video teaser, the upcoming skin will feature improved icons, shortcuts, widgets, animations, and more. In comparison with the previous iteration of Origin OS, the new home screen UI has completely new and fresh elements.
In general, Origin OS Ocean’s UI is more focused, cleaner, and simpler than before. Photos, payments, trip reminders, and other functions are more prominent on the lock screen in addition to the fingerprint icon, time, and date. With focused mode, the quick access mode and important features are now at your fingertips.
Vivo’s Chinese variant models are likely to get Origin OS soon. Vivo is currently running an internal beta testing program for the Vivo X70 Pro+, Vivo X70 Pro, Vivo X70, Vivo X60 Pro, Vivo X60 Curved Screen Edition, Vivo S10 Pro, Vivo S10, Vivo S9, iQOO 8 Pro, iQOO 8, and iQOO 7 models. Beta testing appears to be at an end and everything appears to be going well in terms of improvements and stability.
