What If…? has officially been launched, its Episode Order goes like this

It’s just been a few hours since What If…? has begun. Marvel Cinematic Universe brings you its first animated series where they pick off right after the season finale of Loki.

The 9 episode anthology is all set to bring forth a multiverse where small variances create large alterations in the storyline of Marvel Universe. Earlier this Tuesday, in between reviews and marketing efforts of House of Mouse, the storylines of the first three episodes were released. They go somewhat like this:

What…If? Trailer

The first episode of What If…?, which is currently airing on Disney+ will capture Peggy Carter as the new Captain America. Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell) will take Super Soldier Serum instead of Steve Rogers after he is deemed injured.

You can expect to see some familiar faces from Captain America: The First Avenger, which will include Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan), Howard Stark (Dominic Cooper), and Arnim Zola (Toby Jones).

But unfortunately, Chris Evans and Hugo Weaving won’t be joining the voice cast as Steve Rogers and Red Skull respectively.

The next episode would be one of the last performances of Chadwick Boseman as T’Challa although this time he won’t be present as a king of Wakanda but would be taking the role of Starlord/ Peter Quill.

The episode after that would feature Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson), in which the future of Avengers would be at stake.

Being a Marvel fan, I can attest that we love finding out spoilers from whatever we can get. Keeping that in mind it is not surprising that some Marvel fans spotted the release timelines of some other episodes as well, by just looking at snapshots of What If…? images at an official Disney media site.

From the snapshots, we can decipher that Dr. Strange would be making his presence known in the fourth episode of What If…? And a bunch of images of Wakanda with the “106” label suggests that the storyline concerning Wakanda will take place in the sixth episode.

What...If

Now the only episodes that are left in the dark, and for you to find about yourself are 5,7,8, and 9.

Initially, there were supposed to be ten episodes in the series, making it one of the longest Disney+, Marvel series ( six episodes for each Loki and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and nine for WandaVision) but due to the pandemic one episode had to be let go from this season.

But don’t worry you won’t miss out on the episode it would be appearing in the second season of What If…? for which the series has already been picked up.

“We had to push an episode into Season 2. It was just, honestly, like everything else, that was a COVID impact,”

Brad Winderbaum, executive producer of What…If? previously told Collider

“There was an episode that just wouldn’t hit the completion date, but luckily we do get to see it in the second season of the show.”

What...If

Hence with nine episodes in total, the finale would be releasing on October 6, 2021. Each week you would be getting a dose of unexpected with Marvel’s What If…? and who knows maybe these unconnected stories might even have a larger impact on the live-action adaptations of Marvel.

What If

You might have to wait a little longer to see if this larger impact happens but you don’t have to wait any longer for the What…If? to unfold. Episode 1 of What If…? is out now on Disney+ on August 11th, 2021, 12 AM PT/ 3 AM ET/ 8 AM BST/ 12:30 PM IST.
