Will Mysterio be there in Spider-Man No Way Home?

Spider-Man No Way Home is creating all the buzz and this time Mysterio is at the center stage. The iconic villain who snubbed Spider-Man recently and virtually threatened his identity became part of some hefty merchandise leaks which made us think that he might return. 

On Sunday afternoon, some new merchandise designs popped up online and surprisingly they had Mysterio in them. It is also being speculated that these designs would be used in consumer products and probably some clothes. This makes us think about what role would Mysterio have in this new movie, which is being kept secretly under some very heavy wraps. 

The last time we saw Mysterio he was hell-bent on becoming the next Iron Man and succeeded in exposing Spider-Man (Tom Holland). Now with Loki season finale and multiverse very much in, Mysterio’s return could be almost anything. 

The designs include Mysterios’s iconic helmet and it reads “We believe Mysterio”, which suggests that Mysterio’s agenda of defaming Spider-Man might succeed. There are no indications that Jake Gyllenhaal himself is returning though, which has given birth to the most popular theory, that in Spider-Man No Way Home we would see Peter Parker as a fugitive. Running away from the people who think he is not innocent, trying to save his legacy and in desperate need to clear his name.

The rumor train has not spared anyone it seems, Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Men are also speculated to appear. Not just the Spidey family but the Daredevil franchise has also come under the scrutinizing eyes of the fans. Both Charlie Cox and Deborah Ann Woll have been thought to join the Spider-Man No Way Home. 

One thing is for sure though that Spider-Man No Way Home would be coming on December 17 and that too with some surprises. Doctor Stange’s (Benedict Cumberbatch) confirmed presence, leak of Alfred Molina’s Doc Ock and Jamie Foxx’s Electro are all going to bring the Multiverse to a start. Whether Jake Gyllenhaal is going to be part of this frenzy that is yet to be confirmed. 

Tom Holland and the whole Spidey gang are set to return and we can’t wait to know what’s next!
