Recent Windows 10 update is Facing Boot Loops, Stutter, Fps drop and More

Microsoft has a history of rolling out turbulent software updates, filled with bugs and issues and whatnot. Apparently, the update patch released in late March and Patch Tuesday has resulted in similar situations where users with a variety of systems have complained about the issue.

Current Windows 10 Update causing a myriad of issues

Talking about the current update, Microsoft shipped the April update on Windows 10 users which should have gone without a hitch. However, it has been going through with unstable fps, random stutter, broken V-Sync, and a series of issues arising after users are opening V-Sync and Discord whilst gaming.

According to the latest development in the story, the issues are being fed onto all types of devices irrespective of the hardware configurations. This includes Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 with AMD Ryzen 5 3600 processor while others have reported the issue on Intel Core i7 9700 with GeForce GTX 2070 Super others.

According to the reports, the common update in these complaints is the KB5001330 for Windows 10 v 2004 as well as KB5001337 for Windows 10 v 1930 and 1909. Users have also reported issues related to Patch Tuesday with version KB5000842 which arrived in the late March of 2021.

Talking about the issues related to gaming, people who got the latest update on their system have reported unstable fps, random stutter, and even complete system crashes on games like Overwatch, Red Dead Redemption 2, Doom Eternal, Call of Duty: Warzone among others. Some of the users even pointed out how Discord running in the background whilst gaming has some issues as well and the same goes for V-Sync.

Some of the users saw boot loop issues on their devices as well. Some of the users with Surface Studio 2 and Surface Pro 7 are intercepting error codes 0x800f081f and 0x800f0984 respectively even after trying to install the updates.

Nvidia has asked users to uninstall the recent update that should fix the problem for most users. You can still go to Control Panel on your Windows 10 PC and restore the system to an earlier point that should install updates from that given point and thus, you will stay clear of the current turbulent update.
