Zuma’s New Lumisonic is a Ceiling Light With Integrated Airplay 2 Smart Speaker

The United Kingdom and San Francisco-based company Zuma have launched a new ceiling light named Lumisonic. It is a ceiling light that features an integrated smart speaker. According to the company, the device comes with a low-energy LED light, which creates a mood lighting experience and a circadian rhythm.

There are many smart products on the market today that do one thing – be that audio, or lighting, or security – they don’t integrate with each other easily, if at all. Our vision is that through consolidating these core applications into a single integrated platform, people can easily transform their living spaces in imaginative ways.

Zuma is currently targeting both home users as well as property developers. The Lumisonic will be available in the UK for $520, whereas the light-only version will be released in the summer for $173. The product is available on the zuma.ai website.

Zuma doesn’t just provide a totally new way to experience incredibly immersive high-performance lighting and superior audio, it discreetly becomes part of your home,” he continued. “Users can connect iPhone, iPad, or TV and enjoy a thrilling, edge of their seat, room-filling soundtrack to any movie, with no soundbar required, from anywhere in the room.

Zuma Lumisonic currently supports several services such as Spotify Connect, AirPlay 2 and even works with Amazon Alexa. The tech firm is currently working on HomeKit support, although they haven’t come up with any release date yet. The company hasn’t confirmed any dates for the product in the United States.
