No doubt Dungeons and Dragons have many prominent characters and Drizzt Do’Urden is one of them. Well, according to the latest update, Wizards of the Coast have announced the long-in-development of the Dungeons & Dragons TV series. As it reads, Wizards already has a tonne of novels and videogames on Drizzt. If that’s not enough, the Legend of Drizzt has Funko POP figures, t-shirts, Magic: The Gathering cards, action figures, Halloween costumes, replica scimitars, and whatnot. A live-action GV show is also in the making.
Developments around Dungeons and Dragons
According to the update, there’s an upcoming Dungeons and Dragons TV series and it might have Drizzt. It will be a live-action TV show starring some of the prominent personalities such as Michelle Rodriguez, Rege-Jean Page, Hugh Grant, Chris Pine, Justice Smith, and Sophia Lillis among others.
However, there’s no clarity about the movie or the TV series as of now so we will have to wait for the update. The folks at Polygon contacted Wizards of the Coast where they said that Drizzt may not make it in the movie, however, the TV show might have Drizzt playing a prominent role. However, there are speculations that when Wizards said “not focused”, what they meant was Drizzt won’t have a prominent role in the movie. The movie is being rumored to be in development since 2016 at the latest and produced by eOne entertainment.
The promo video will be narrated by none other than Dr. Strange from Marvel’s Dr. Strange Benedict Cumberbatch.
