Samsung released its last One UI 4.0 beta update to the Galaxy S21 series a few weeks ago and is now close to releasing the stable version. Now it looks like the South Korean giant will soon release the One UI 4.0 beta program to the Galaxy S20 series as well, according to a new report.
According to an answer post of the official moderator of the Samsung Members forum, the South Korean giant is preparing to release the Android 12-based One UI 4.0 beta program to the Galaxy S20 family. Reportedly, the company will open the beta program for the One UI 4.0 to the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+, and the Galaxy S20 Ultra devices. The moderator also mentions that the One UI 3.1 (with firmware version ending EUI4) would be Samsung’s last Android 11-based software update.
One UI 4.0 Beta for Galaxy S20 Series: Release Date, Features
Samsung may soon start recruiting beta testers from select markets for One UI 4.0 beta update to the Galaxy S20 devices. According to reports, the tech giant may release the beta update before the end of this month (November 2021). The beta program will be available in select markets, which may include South Korea, India, China, Germany, the UK, and the US.
Samsung’s latest Android skin, the One UI 4.0, is based on the latest available Android version, the Android 12. It comes with a lot of new features, including a revamped UI design with refreshed icons and Material You-based color themes. The customized Android OS also brings more lock screen widgets, new widget designs, and an updated widgets section menu. It also brings improved stock apps, dedicated quick settings toggles to turn off the camera and mic access, and most importantly, improved security and privacy.
As said before, the One UI 4.0 beta program for Galaxy S20 will be released before the end of November 2021. Beta testers in India may also get to try out the new One UI 4.0 beta on their Galaxy S20 devices.
